MetaProducts Corporation has released DeskTool v. 2.4, a handy Windows 98/95/Me/NT4/2000 program that saves time when accessing and launching your most-used applications. By putting buttons for popular files and programs into DeskTool`s compact toolbar, you can find them immediately and launch them with a single click.

Adding icons to DeskTool is as easy as dragging them from your desktop or from Explorer, and dropping them onto the toolbar. You can replace an application`s default icon with a custom icon of your choice. Deleting and moving icons is also a simple matter of dragging and dropping them. You can even use the context (right-click) menus to send applications to your DeskTool toolbar.

In addition to application buttons, DeskTool also supports menu buttons, allowing you to group frequently used programs into drop-down menus.
