Inquiry Professional Edition
STANDARD FEATURES

When you browse web sites, you can easily store information on the screen - either the whole web page or a selection on it.

Inquiry lets you organize pages to find information fast.

We do our best to design Inquiry to be comfortable and appealing.

Most modern browsers keep all pages you view in their cache. This makes browsing faster and you can sometimes view Web pages offline.

However the default browser cache is limited and inconvenient:

Inquiry gives you an easy workaround for all the above issues.

File | Save as

MetaProducts Inquiry goes farther than the standard HTML and MHT formats if you want to save a page to disk or share it with a friend. You can save a single page or a set of pages to a variety of file formats. You can backup and restore the saved pages to prevent information loss in case of a system crash or virus.

Edit pages

A Web browser can be used only to display Web pages. Even if a page is being saved in the browser cache, there is no way to edit it, remove banners or add your comments. Inquiry has a fully-featured visual Web page editor that allows you to change the look and contents of the saved pages according to your needs.

Using a familiar Folder Tree, you can create and organize your folders using simple Windows Explorer-type menu commands, and then move your saved pages from one folder to another using drag-and-drop.

Save entire Web sites using Inquiry’s Auto-Save feature. Once AutoSave is enabled, every page you browse will be automatically saved in a special folder called “AutoSave” for later viewing or offline browsing.

You can share the information stored in Inquiry with others.

Click the Citation Panel button to access the ability to use citation information for the selected Web page. You can enter its elements (Author, Title, Editor, etc.) to get a prepared reference in four predefined styles - MLA, APA, Chicago and CBE.

You can add your own styles in the Options dialog | Citation Styles section.

The citation information can be also displayed above or below Web pages you are browsing from Inquiry. This allows you to print the citation information along with the Web page.

You can select multiple saved pages in Inquiry Professional Edition and print them with a single command. No need to browse each page separately in order to print it!

You can use up to 19 icons to mark saved pages. This allows you to distinguish your saved pages visually, and to search pages by the icon.

Inquiry Professional Edition also lets you customize the icons list.
