TAMPA, FL - June 26, 2007: MetaProducts Corporation is pleased to announce MetaProducts Inquiry Professional Edition 1.6, a browser-based research tool for capturing and storing important information from the Internet for reading offline later or for use in other projects, such as studies, academic writing, marketing, etc. The software can function as a browser add-on or as a standalone browser.

MetaProducts Inquiry was crafted for users who rely on the Internet as a research platform at work, school and home. Students, professors and journalists can leverage the program as a mining tool for capturing information and saving copies of webpages for offline research, citation and reference. Shoppers may use it to capture a page as evidence of an Internet transaction when visiting eBay or booking a ticket. MetaProducts Inquiry functionalities can be incorporated into a browser such as Internet Explorer and quickly accessed via buttons on the Explorer toolbar. The buttons include 'Save Flash files', 'Save Page to Disk', 'Save Images', and 'Save with MP Inquiry'. When users find interesting content online, they can save it with just one mouse click without interrupting their browsing!

Saving is a breeze. Unlike the 'Save As' browser option, saving content in MetaProducts Inquiry is surprisingly fast and more accurate. Also, the saved pages contain all the elements of the originals and look the same when browsed offline.

Saved pages are displayed in the familiar Windows Explorer type folder tree view and can easily be sorted by topic or categorized in any way. They can also be exported to popular formats, such as HTML, MHT, CHM or a standalone EXE file, with the built-in viewing option. This, again, is done with just one mouse click!

To further enhance the MetaProducts Inquiry experience, an additional AutoSave mode lets users save web sites for offline browsing. Once enabled, this mode allows users to capture all pages they browse automatically and save them to a special folder in Inquiry.

Building on the much-requested features of earlier versions, MetaProducts Inquiry Professional Edition 1.6 delivers a host of enhancements that improve the capturing, organizing and sharing capabilities of the product. For example, Inquiry Bar settings have been moved from the context menu to the help menu. The 'Import one page from disk' option has been replaced by 'Import files from disk', which includes the ability to import several HTML pages and images. Now the program can show page thumbnails independently from Internet Explorer settings. There is also improved image importing and saving of XHTML pages. Some bugs have been fixed as well.

Inquiry lets you easily convert stored pages into a number of popular formats, including HTML, MHT Archive, Microsoft Word, or a standalone executable file with a built-in browsing application. You can easily email your stored pages to your friends.

Teachers, students, and writers can use Inquiry as a research tool. You can save all citation and reference information (such as author, title, and editor) in four standard styles: MLA, APA, Chicago, and CBE. You can also design your own custom styles. This citation information can be displayed above or below the Web pages that you are browsing.

Business people can use Inquiry to perform competitive research on the Internet. Students and teachers can easily document information for class projects. Shoppers can use Inquiry to gather and store data about product price and availability.
